Rosehip seed oil is a pressed seed oil extracted from the seeds of the wild rose bush Rosa rubiginosa in the southern Andes. Rosehip seed oil can also be extracted from Rosa canina, a wild rose species native to Europe, northwestern Africa, and western Asia. Rosehip Oil contains a high percentage of vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids like omega-3 (linolenic acid) and omega-6 (linoleic acid). It has an dark orange clear oily liquid appearance. 

It is well known for its healing and regenerating properties (treatment of scars, inflamed skin conditions, dry skin, burns, stretch marks and wrinkles). It is also an effective anti-inflammatory and may assist with reducing itchy, dry and irritated skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

 WARNING: Before you apply Rosehip oil, do a skin patch test first. Apply a small amount of the oil to a section on your arm and leave it for 24 hours. If you don’t see any reactions, the oil should be safe to use.
